Basic principles of zoom lenses

Zoom lens is a kind of lens that can change the magnification continuously or segmentally, by adjusting the magnification of the lens, it can realize the accurate measurement of different size objects. In quadratic image measuring instrument, zoom lens is usually used in conjunction with high-precision CCD camera, optical ruler and other components to complete the measurement task.

 

 

Methods for improving measurement accuracy:

 

1. Select the appropriate magnification: the choice of magnification directly affects the measurement accuracy. Generally speaking, the larger the magnification, the higher the accuracy of the measurement, but too large a magnification may lead to deformation of the measured object, affecting the measurement results. When measuring the size of a component on a tiny circuit board, if the magnification is set too low, it may not be able to accurately capture the details of the component; while if the magnification is set too high, it may lead to measurement errors due to small deformations of the component. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the appropriate magnification for measurement according to the actual size of the component and the measurement requirements.

 

2. Optimize the measurement path: By setting a reasonable measurement path, the measurement error can be reduced and the measurement accuracy can be improved. When measuring an irregularly shaped component, the critical parts of the component can be covered by setting multiple measurement points to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results. At the same time, the measurement path should be avoided to pass through the edges or irregular parts of the object to reduce the influence of edge effect.

 

3. Regular calibration: Regular calibration can ensure that the accuracy of the measuring instrument is always maintained at a high level. The use of standard calibration blocks for regular calibration of the measuring instrument can detect and correct measurement errors in time to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
