FA lenses are industrial lenses designed for factory automation. Its optical principle is based on lens imaging, and the imaging characteristics of high precision, low distortion and large depth of field are realized through precise optical path design and advanced technologies such as aspherical lenses.
Optical Principle of FA Lens
1. Depth of field: the distance between the object and the lens in a certain range of changes, the resulting image remains clear. This distance range is called the depth of field. Wide-angle lenses usually have a deeper depth of field than telescope heads.
2. Depth of Focus: Corresponding to the determination of the object plane, the distance between the imaging plane and the lens changes within a certain range, the image remains clear, this range is called the depth of focus.
3. Aberration: the characteristics of the lens determines the beam can not be tightly focused to a point, will form a diffuse spot on the image plane, resulting in the phenomenon of poor focus. In order to reduce the aberration, FA lenses use multiple lenses with different refractive indices and characteristics, and corrected by means of aspherical lenses.
Functions of FA lenses
1、Visual positioning: In automated production lines, FA lenses can clearly and accurately capture the image of the target object and provide precise positional information, thus realizing the precise positioning of parts or products. For example, in the application of cell phone screw-hole alignment, FA lens combined with industrial cameras and image processing systems can realize the precise positioning of cell phone screw holes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of assembly.
2、Appearance Inspection: The high resolution and low distortion characteristics of FA lenses make them very suitable for product appearance inspection. For example, in the sealing ring inspection, FA lens can clearly capture the details of the sealing ring, such as the inner diameter, outer diameter, height and surface quality and other key parameters, for subsequent image processing and analysis to provide high-quality image data.
3、Vision guidance: In the robot vision guidance system, FA lens needs to quickly capture and track the target object. Its high-speed response capability and good tracking performance makes the FA lens able to realize the precise guidance of the robotic arm or robot to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the operation. For example, in an automated assembly line, FA lenses combined with vision guidance system can realize precise grasping and assembling of parts to improve the automation level and production efficiency of the production line.
