Sensors play a vital role in modern technology, and different types of sensors can fulfill a variety of different measurement and detection needs. According to the different ways of presentation, sensors are mainly divided into the following three categories:
Point (point spectral confocal sensor)
A point spectral confocal sensor is a high-precision measurement sensor that determines the position and shape of an object's surface by measuring the reflection and refraction of light in different media. The measuring point of this sensor is very small, allowing for high-precision three-dimensional measurements, and is suitable for applications where precise measurements of tiny objects or surfaces are required. For example, in the electronics manufacturing industry, point spectral confocal sensors can be used to measure the height and roughness of chip surfaces to ensure chip quality and performance.
Line (Line Laser Sensor)
Line laser sensors measure the contour and shape of an object by emitting a line-shaped laser beam that shines on the surface of the object and then measures the object's contour and shape by receiving the reflected light. Such sensors can quickly acquire two-dimensional contour information about an object and are suitable for rapid inspection of large objects or objects in production lines. For example, in the automotive manufacturing industry, line laser sensors can be used to measure the contours and dimensions of car bodies to ensure accuracy and quality.
Surface (laser image autofocus sensor)
A laser image autofocus sensor is a surface array sensor based on laser technology that can quickly acquire three-dimensional image information of an object. This sensor generates a three-dimensional image of an object by emitting a laser beam, illuminating it on the surface of the object, and then generating a three-dimensional image of the object by receiving the reflected light. Laser image autofocus sensors have the advantages of high accuracy, high speed, and non-contact measurement, and are suitable for applications where complex shaped objects are accurately measured and inspected. For example, in the machining industry, laser image autofocus sensors can be used to measure the surface shape and dimensions of parts to ensure the accuracy and quality of the parts.
According to the different ways of presentation, the sensor can be divided into three types: point, line and surface. Different types of sensors have different characteristics and applications, users can choose the right sensor to meet the requirements of measurement and detection according to the actual needs.
